So because of the artwork I stumbled across last week I did a thing.
Was it a lot of money? Yeah, money I really don’t have at the moment given other major projects I’ve been saving for on the house.
But Hilary Clarcq’s art for the Folio Society editions of Children of Dune hit me so hard in the feels.
As I previously wrote, her illustrations of Leto II are exactly like my head canon Leto II!!!
I even sent her a thank you email for her work on this and she responded the other day!
These are truly beautiful, and will go on the shelves with all of my other editions, including my falling apart typical reader paperback editions.
This edition of Children of Dune is so special to me now.

I can only hope that whoever they commission to provide the illustrations and paintings for God Emperor of Dune nails it as well.
Is that too much for me to ask the universe? I mean, I’ve been given this little iota of perfection. Am I asking for too much?
(I never even mentioned before that Ghanima looks a bit like my granddaughter too. That makes it even more special to me.)
