While Hilary Clarcq’s art for the Folio Society editions of “Children of Dune” caused me to buy it, I so badly would love to see what Michael Stribling could do for the illustrations and paintings for “God Emperor of Dune”.
Leto Atriedes II is my all-time favorite fictional character.
While Clarcq 100% nailed my head canon version of a young Leto in her work, Stribling nailed my head canon version of Leto 4500 years later all they way back in 2001.
His “early transformation” sketch is also very accurate to both my head canon, and what can be inferred from Leto himself to some degree about earlier adult self that was not documented in any novel.
