I haven’t been to the gym since about Autumn 2019 after I had oh so lovely hernia surgery.
And then March 2020 hit and the world changed and well, I didn’t go back after. Even after they reopened and allowed others in. (I wore my masks everywhere back then but I just could not do so while working out.)
Anyway, that was a long time ago.
I started out with a very light day just to see how the hip would take it today.
30 minutes in on a bike (about 5 miles) and several sets on both the hip adduction and abduction machines with about 150 lbs. (68 kg) of weight.
The hip made it through and probably has had the best stretching it has had in a very long time.
A good start to a first day back.
Tomorrow I’ll repeat and I feel confident enough to try for 45 minutes and some other leg work.
