I think I’m going to finally have to abandon http://google.com for any form of search.
The shoving of all of this AI bullshit nonsense into every aspect of modern life by every fucking tech company has reached a point of saturation that I just can’t deal with all the bullshit noise anymore.
All of these companies were desperate for anything new to monetize and they grasped onto this bullshit and have desperately shoved it into everything and everywhere further to enshittify our existence.
All of these companies had pretty much peaked in terms of what they could offer in innovation and were desperate to grab onto anything that would allow them to generate more revenue, even if it’s just a circular ouroboros that is going to collapse.
I don’t want your fucking bullshit and frequently actually incorrect AI summaries of information.
I don’t want your fucking bullshit sponsored advertising trumping actual sources of information.
And the sad thing is there’s no way in 2025 to even have a mobile device of any kind that does not somehow in some way ultimately end up going back to Google and or OpenAI now.
And yes, those of you who jerk off to your Apple products are in no way immune from this either. Your false god just hasn’t figured out how to monetize the bullshit yet for their own gain. In fact they’ve been trying to sell you even more “Apple Intelligence” bullshit without even a true plan on how to sell you it or else their shareholders get worried they themselves have also reached a peak of literally no more technical innovation.
I was there at the birth of the World Wide Web. I was there using Gopher and other text-based internet tools when they were created.
I remember the days when we thought having this wonderful network and access to information would be this remarkable and amazing thing that would improve all of us and our knowledge.
All that is done is become a form of control, misinformation, flat-out lies and propaganda, addiction for some, brain rot for others, and now useless often non-factual information served up to us as fact and truth in the pursuit of a fucking dollar.
I really don’t know how much longer I can allow myself to constantly be exposed to these forms of control and misinformation.
And yet, it has killed everything that was good and true with human knowledge gathering and reporting of information so the developed world is now on a precipice of utter and complete bullshit.
