My favorite comics YouTuber Casually Comics has dropped a video on the first appearance of my all-time favorite super hero team the Justice Society of America.
“How The Justice Society Changed Comics Forever!” dropped yesterday and as always, Sasha does an amazeballs job in doing a deep dive into All-Star Comics #3 from 1943 and the way the first comics super hero team was created, the business and politics involved, and the uniqueness that this first group appearance in the anthology stories and their art.
I love the fact she brings up one of the things I’ve joked about: nobody ever talks about the generally forgotten All-Star Comics #1 and #2. #3 is so historic that it will forever overshadow in both pop culture (and price) the first 3 issues.
Sash’s reviews of story, and her methodology, brings such joy to me.
If you like DC, Marvel, or other superhero comics, Sasha of Casually Comics is one of the best out there sharing her love in videos!
