This is quite an amazing illustration of Melkor.
Out of all of the fan art based on The Silmarillion, I tend to like when Melkor/Morgoth is drawn as either elven (or even mannish).
The fully armored and helmeted interpretations are good too. But there’s something about having an actual face on him.
Yeah, I suppose I no longer really have a head canon version of him, since I’ve been so melkorpilled by the interpretations by Álvaro Fernández González and WisesnailArt. (This one very much aligns with those.)
There’s just something practical about having the Ainur who descended into Ea and Arda adopt physical forms similar to the visions of the future elves that they saw in the Ainulindalë.
