This artwork from 2011 is so very interesting, especially if you know the generally accepted history and story of Eighteenth Dynasty Pharaoh Akhenaten and his attempt to shift all of Egypt to the worship of a version of Atum-Ra called Aten. (Major bad craziness. It lasted less than 20 years.)
The corpse crumbling in Anubis’ arms is an interesting choice.
I love the whole Pietà imagery here (à la Mary cradling the dead Jesus).
