Very happy they’ve recently added a woman narrator to their channel as well.
I know the bad craziness of historical record between Akhenaten‘s death and before Tutankhamun‘s ascension to the throne is difficult to piece together, but my gut feeling is that Neferneferuaten is Nefertiti under a new name.
Yes. Neither science nor history give a fuck about our feelings, but until something is actually uncovered that clearly dictates Neferneferuaten was exactly this or that person, I’m sticking with it being Nefertiti until it is proven otherwise.
Oh. And you can thank Pharaoh Horemheb for the damnatio memoriae trying to wipe out the entire Akhenaten to Ay era of Kemet history, making so much of this even more difficult.
Then again, if he hadn’t done that, we might never have had Tutankhamun’s (mostly) untouched intact tomb to uncover thousands of years later.
