If at any time you open up an application, or read a tech article, and you are presented with some marketing bullshit attempting to continvince you that you need AI, the answer is always no.
It is that simple.
The useless billionaires or other tech bros trying to take even more money from you is a sham.
There was really no other direction for hardware and software companies to go because they’d all reached maximum late-stage capitalism maturity.
There has been absolutely no true evolution (or revolution) in technology in about 15 or so years.
Moore’s Law for transistors has hit the end. So no real further significant improvements on CPUs really is going to be made due to oh… thermodynamic laws of this cosmos.
Computers from 10 years ago can easily run everything, so certain players have created fake obsolesce bullshit (Windows 11 requirements) to force you to buy new computers from the hardware companies that were already stagnating on the consumer and business use end.
Don’t even get me started on Apple’s products either. They try to convince you yearly to drop down money on an ever increasing cost product that does EXACTLY what the models from a few years ago do.
All software has matured to the point that there is nothing really else to make or improve upon. This has in fact been like this for at least 15 years as well. Why do you think all software shifted to a subscription model? They have NOTHING new to sell you so they need to have a constant revenue stream without doing much of anything for you.
This has been a multi-year scam my many who are guilty.
And the general consumer will end up paying the bill while they reap whatever they can from their corporate rape. THIS IS ALL THEY HAVE LEFT!!!
