While I have minimal things to prep on myself for next week’s hip replacement, I definitely need to get some things done on the house.
I want to clean the first floor, kitchens, bathrooms, etc. as well as the second floor steps.
I’ve got dozens of cardboard boxes that need to be broken down for the hopefully future Transformers sell-off (that has to happen in 2027).
With my other-half out of town for a few days, I can can meander at this cleaning at my own pace and more or less sit and stop as needed. (I feel so much less pressure on any task/project when I am home alone.)
I’m not going to lie… the hip’s hurt a lot lately. I’ve had a few bad nights with little sleep this past week, so I’ve done very little but sit and sleep.
It is funny to think about how productive I was in late August/September. I got those trees cut down and all that yard work down. I had started on the basement clean-up and reorg but then when I started hurting worse in October I just stopped and let everything go to hell. Yeah, I was having major job loss grieving, but that should have actually made me want to get MORE done. Alas, that did not happen and by November I was hurting substantially more and just gave up.
Anyway, I’ve got a list of things going that I should be able to do with minimal pain and effort.
Or at least I hope so.
(I will not be remodeling any rooms while he’s gone. I’ve been known to do that haver the years.)
