So we finally have a trailer to S2 of The Sandman.
From what it shows, it looks like we’ll get a adaptations of Season of Mists, The Song of Orpheus, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and then right into a variation of The Kindly Ones somehow.
Obviously the drama around Neil Gaiman and what amounts to his cancellation/rejection from modern pop culture now seems to have hurt any chances of this series being now more than a highlight of the books.
Which kind of sucks.
I was very much looking forward to A Game of You and especially Brief Lives being adapted.
I don’t see that happening now.
But they’ll live on in original form without the risk of being altered or reworked like Season 1 was.
It is like Dream himself said in the one of the books themselves about stories being altered “The great stories always return to their original forms.”
At least I’m going to get to see the rest of The Endless.
Oddly, I am not a fan of Destiny without his hood on. He better remain blind. It is the little details that yes, are often important to me.
