“Tron: Uprising” aired from May 18, 2012 –January 28, 2013.
An now almost forgotten interquel set between the original 1982 Tron and 2010’s Tron: Legacy, I feel that this series really did some amazing things with animated visuals that few mass market animated series would attempt to do.
The production design is 100% top notch and everyone involved needs to be highly commended for their work on this.
Now there was also a lot of unexpected celebrity voice acting in this as well. Elijah Wood, Bruce Boxleitner (as Tron of course!), Lance Henriksen, Reginald VelJohnson, Aaron Paul, Tricia Helfer, and the late great Paul Reubens, along with many many others all contributed to this wonderful world-building show.
Beck’s Beginning, the first episode, is up on YT but annoyingly broken into tiny clips.
If you have Disney+, I highly recommend delving into into “Tron: Uprising”. It is on only 19 22-minute episodes.
You are in for a visual treat.
