DC Special #29 was released on Aug 3, 1977 and is the very first comic book I ever had.
I’m not sure why, but my father brought this home one day.
And while most kids loved the “modern” DC characters, it is because of this book that I fell in love with the older Golden Age versions of characters and the other inhabitants of Earth-Two.
The Justice Society of America (JSA) was my shit! Screw that Justice League of America over on Earth-One!
This books brings me such joy. This version of the JSA makes me a happy Nala!
And ya even got Neal Adams drawing Hitler on the cover!!! And I had no idea BobLayton inked Joe Staton’s pencils! (And to think I thought my first exposure to Layton was a few years later on Iron Man!)
