Several weeks back we celebrated 10 years of the South Park episode Tweek x Craig (Season 19, Ep 6) that canonized the specialness of these 2 characters.
It is quite frankly, in my simple Nala opinion, one of the finest episodes of the show over its many decades.
It is beautiful on so many levels.
The use of music, especially Peter Gabriel’s cover of Magnetic Fields’ Book of Love takes this episode into dramatic and emotional places that a silly ass show such as this rarely ever delves into.
And one of my favorite moments in this episode?
The moment where Craig and Tweek, walking separately, end up meeting and staring at the massive mural of them painted on the the back of the school, probably by one of the Asian girls.
The shot is so beautiful, made even more powerful during the later seen when they try to fake breaking up, and the rain pours down on the building “melting” the mural while A Great Big World’s Say Something sadly drones on over the rain.
Peak South Park!
Peak Creek!
And we are so luck to have had this!
