Wow indeed kid!
DCUniverseinfinite isn’t all that infinite when it comes to The Golden Age. The really need to get everything scanned in and make it available. It is so important that this old stuff never gets lost.
I really hope that they has every issue of their Golden Age catalog, as well as those of Fawcett and Quality. (Not to mention Charlton’s Silver Age stuff.) Even mediocre scans are better then no scans.
While I’m not really clued into their “funny” characters, this cover has some amazing inclusions that I know right from looking at it.
It is a very odd collage of cut and paste of different art from different artists/books of that era (123 pages releated on Oct 18, 1944!)
We’ve got stories with the following:
- Hawkman (Carter Hall)
- Wonder Woman (Diana)
- The Atom (Al Pratt)
- Green Lantern (Alan Scott)
- The Flash (Jay Garrick)
- Mr. Terrific (Terry Sloane)
- Wild Cat (Ted Grant)
- The Whip
- Ghost Patrol
- Johnny Thunder/The Thunderbolt/Special Needs Peach Pet
- Scribbly
- The Blue Boys
- Hop Harrigan
I don’t recognize the others so I’ll have to dig into the stories.
