I post a lot of things that I love. Some original things I’ve created in terms of photography, video, etc. and many things that others have created and shared on the interwebs.
I try my best to credit artists/authors when I can, with the exception of most corporate/brand art.
I try reverse image searching and way back machine archives to try and trace certain images back to the source to accurately credit the artist/author.
I try my best to observe “do not repost” requests when I do find them, though if a source site appears abandoned for more than a few years, I do make the assumption that it is ok to repost.
If I share/repost something that does in fact belong to someone who doesn’t want the image shared, I will remove it at their request via an email or DM to me on the respective platform.
I do not try to track down the source/creator of meme images that have been openly shared.
